Transition for Hope and Ginger Boy

Two years ago Ginger Boy arrived on our doorstep – a stray rescued from North Vancouver. Around the same time we rescued a tiny frail and critically ill kitten from Bodega Ridge (now known as Hope). They quickly bonded and have been inseparable since. After two and a half years in care at the Sanctuary, Ginger Boy and Hope have taken the next step in their journey towards a forever home together with their own human family. Today they were transferred to the Saltspring BCSPCA with the hope that someone will find the space in their heart and home for these two fabulous cats. Sean has a big task ahead – to find the right forever home for them – Rest.Q is confident that Sean will be successful. Sure, my heart aches at their absence on Galiano.  And yet I feel grateful for sharing a formative part of their young lives even if it means missing them now. Of course I am sure that Sean will provide us with updates and stories of their journey. Thanks Sean and the Saltspring Island BCSPCA for taking Ginger Boy and Hope into your capable care. And to Ginger Boy and Hope I say ‘be strong…be brave…and allow yourselves to have fun!’
